SoCal Does Vegas!

Southern California Show Jumping stars, amateurs, and fans made their way to Las Vegas November 10-15 for six days of glamour, signature Longines elegance, and electrifying competition. The Las Vegas National Horse Show, held at the South Point Hotel and Casino, is one-of-a-kind. Capping the week on Saturday was the crown jewel, the $100,000 Longines FEI World Cup Jumping Las Vegas. Among world-class international competitors, SoCal's Simon Nizri piloted E Muse Yek to a 7th place, adding to his three top-7 ribbons in other classes. Rancho Santa Fe's own Michael Endicott and son, Mitchell, made their mark, bringing home a cache of ribbons from Mitchell's nine top-7 placings, including a blue in Low Junior Amateur/Owner Jumpers. Though he didn't compete, Michael was interviewed by the local television station about the Las Vegas National and the sport of Show Jumping. Marc Grock of Encinitas placed 6th aboard Little Gancho in the $10,000 Winning Round Classic, and SoCal neighbor Joie Gatlin had ten top-7 placings, including a win in the 1.15m Jumpers aboard Washington.
